George find good form at Redbridge

George Pittock finished an excellent 6th in a high quality field of 33 riders at Redbridge today.

This was the fourth in the five race Lee Valley Youth series and, in complete contrast to earlier races, the sun came out and temperatures rose rapidly to the mid 20s. It was a fast race and 13 times up Hog Hill was tough in the conditions.

Several breaks were chased down before Tom Sharples (Welwyn) took Max Bolton (LVYCC) and Sam Freeman (Solent Pirates) with him for the win. Jake Crossley (Colchester) was three bike lengths behind in fourth. George lost out in the second group to Lukas Nerurkar (PPYCC) after leading the chase.

George is pictured warming up with Tom Sharples and friends from PPYCC.
